Charlotte Le Maire
Founder & Partner
Charlotte is a specialist criminal and regulatory lawyer and barrister. She is frequently instructed to provide critical advice in the immediate aftermath of a serious or fatal incident.
She is recognised for her commercial approach, providing advice that takes into consideration the significant impact of the incident and investigation, as well as the wider reputational risks. Charlotte has extensive experience in representation at PACE (Police and Criminal Evidence Act) and other interviews, and frequently appears in all criminal courts to represent corporate bodies or individuals. Charlotte is known nationally as a leader in the field of Fleet Risk and is regularly invited by corporates, insurers, brokers and fleet risk charities to provide training in relation to road safety matters, as well as providing practical solutions to criminal and regulatory challenges.
Charlotte has a formidable reputation for standing up to prosecuting authorities.
Leah Hester
Senior Associate
Heading the Northern division, Leah is a Senior Associate and Chartered Legal Executive with over 12 years’ experience in providing criminal defence representation across a diverse range of criminal matters, specialising in road traffic and motoring offences.
Representing clients detained in police custody and voluntary attendees at Police Stations throughout the UK, Leah has a wide experience in the preparation of criminal cases at all levels in the criminal justice system up to Crown Court trials. Leah also specialises in representing individuals with complex needs, particularly those with autism, autistic spectrum disorders and ADHD, some with pronounced challenges who require ongoing support.
Leah has a reputation for having a warm and attentive manner with an ability to put people instantly at ease and build trust. Dealing with clients who may be facing the potential loss of their liberty or career, Leah works tirelessly to ensure that every case is given the utmost attention, and guides her clients through what can be a difficult and stressful process.
Chrissy O'Connor
Senior Associate
Chrissy is a Senior Associate leading the Southern division. With an extensive background in general crime, she has defended clients in respect of a broad range of serious and complex police investigations and criminal prosecutions for over 15 years.
Having previously supervised the police station team in one of the largest criminal legal aid firms in the country, Chrissy has in recent years specialised in criminal motor defence, advising and representing drivers following their involvement in serious injury and fatal road traffic collisions.
Chrissy is an extremely passionate defence lawyer known for her meticulous and dedicated approach to each and every one of her cases, ensuring the best possible outcome for her clients on every occasion.
Kristina Lancaster
Solicitor
Kristina is a highly skilled Criminal & Regulatory solicitor with over 15 years of experience in criminal law. She regularly provides expert advice and support in the immediate aftermath of a collision or serious incident and guides clients through investigations, representing them from roadside and initial police interview, through to trial or inquest.
An impressive advocate, Kristina has extensive experience representing clients in the Magistrates’, Crown, and Coroner’s Courts. She brings a wealth of knowledge across the full spectrum of criminal and regulatory law, and is highly regarded for her approachability and dedication to her clients both individual and corporate.
Kristina also leads LMP Legal’s police misconduct defence team, regularly instructed by national police federations through her established professional connections. Additionally, she delivers tailored training sessions to equip clients with the skills they need to effectively handle any investigation should the worst happen.
Andrew Scott
Consultant
Andrew is a heavyweight in the insurance industry with over 35 years experience, having worked at the highest level within one of the leading law firms in the country.
He has worked for most of the major Insurers, handling catastrophic, multimillion pound claims, consisting of road traffic, employers liability and public liability cases.
Andrew also has significant experience at board level, advising strategically in order to provide clients with the best possible outcomes. Andrew’s dual role as a non-executive director at LMP Legal means he holds a pivotal role, having insight into the running of the business and implementation of strategy.
Nathan MacPherson

Nathan’s management career, where his focus on customer satisfaction and attention to detail was pivotal, gives him a unique perspective on managing the operations of a groundbreaking law firm. As Chief Operating Officer at LMP Legal, Nathan oversees all aspects of the firm's operations, playing a critical role in driving financial performance and brand visibility.

Emma Jessup
Business Support Executive
Emma brings over 15 years of experience from the telecommunications sector into her current role at LMP Legal. Having successfully managed teams and led customer-focused initiatives, she is adept at ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and operational efficiency.
In her legal career, Emma applies her extensive expertise in data analysis and process optimisation to support firm operations and deliver exceptional service. Her ability to produce and interpret performance metrics has become a valuable asset, helping drive informed decision-making within the firm.
With a unique blend of leadership experience and a customer-first approach, Emma is dedicated to contributing to the success and growth of LMP Legal while adapting her skills to the dynamic legal environment.
Lesley O'Brien OBE
Lesley is an award winning business professional with over 40 years’ experience in the transport industry. She is an advocate for women in the industry and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT). As well as running her haulage company Freightlink Europe and consultancy Freight Train, Lesley is a Trustee of the Road Haulage Association (RHA) Benevolent Fund and member of the RHA Security Committee and Regional Council. She is a tireless ambassador of the transport industry and served 9 years as an RHA Main Board Director.
Lesley uses her voice whenever possible to support and encourage those underrepresented in the industry, to raise standards, improve road safety and change industry perception. In 2020 she was awarded the OBE for services to diversity and inclusion in the transport industry and in 2022 was elected to the Motor Transport Wall of Fame and voted Northern Transport Personality of the Year by Transport News. She is a regular contributor to the Commercial Motor Legal Panel, Motor Transport Vox Pop and is invited by the BBC and other media to discuss topical and transport related issues.
Andrew Drewary
A multi award winning road safety specialist, speaker at leading industry events/conferences and currently Chair of the CILT Transport and Logistics Safety Forum. Andrew is also a member of the Global Fleet Champions initiative run by Brake, the road safety charity.
Andrew has worked directly with solicitors, insurers and fleet operators while managing the investigation process for over 40,000 road traffic collisions, over the last 20 years.
Andrew provides bespoke, innovative and interactive evidenced based fleet safety solutions through data analysis and collaboration. Andrew has supported management teams and employees to influence positive culture change resulting in substantial financial savings, improved driver health and wellbeing and robust policy management. Thereby reducing exposure to risk, collisions and road fatalities.
